ANNE SYKES HAS CHRISTMAS No. 152 Year Old SYKES From TORQUAY Outsells Robbie To Top This Week's Chart

ANNE SYKES astounded the music world this week when her first ever single "Sleep With Me Baby" outsold all it's rivals, including Dido and the ever popular Robbie Williams, to become this year's Christmas number 1. Until three weeks ago hardly anyone outside of TORQUAY had ever heard SYKES sing; this week she has the nation's best selling single.
The rock ballad "Sleep With Me Baby" has sold an estimated 640,000 copies in it's first week. Stores throughout the country have been selling the single as quickly as they have had stocks delivered. A spokesman for HMV, one of the country's leading retailers, said yesterday "Not since Elton John's, Candle In The Wind tribute to Lady Diana has a single sold so many copies in such a short period of time." SYKES's record company Sony, has already initiated 500,000 more pressings of the single.
ANNE made his first television appearance to promote the single on last week's Jonathan Ross show "Things just snowballed from then on" said ANNE yesterday. "I did the Steve Wright show the following day, Parkinson last week and the duet with Kylie at the Abbey Road studios on the Monday." It has been an amazing month for the local born ANNE SYKES who was discovered by the famous Simon Cowell. "I owe it all to Cowell" said SYKES yesterday.
Cowell was on a Christmas break at the beginning of this month and stayed overnight in TORQUAY when he saw ANNE singing in a local Karaoke bar. ANNE's best friend spotted Cowell in the bar "I could tell straight away that it was Simon Cowell." said ANNE's best friend when talking to the BBC yesterday "I knew from looking at him that he was impressed by ANNE's voice, I talked ANNE into going up again, she sang Lennon & McCartney's "Yesterday" and it just brought the house down." Cowell definitely wasted no time in signing ANNE, he cut short his holiday and flew ANNE to London in his private jet to thrash out a deal. Both Cowell and SYKES have refused to say how much the recording contract is for but speculation is that it is in excess of £2.5 million. The advertising "machine" appears to waste even less time than Simon Cowell, and the face of ANNE SYKES can already be seen on advertisements for Calvin Klein, French Connection, Rolex and Levi. Not sure!!!!!!

I havnt been well for ages, but I gathered it was old age and worry

but it turns out I have cfs/me , -- and heart failure :( dont like the sound

of that at all had a load of blood tests they were so weird as he put it, that he did a lot more,

im feeling rather like an alien lol, hopefully they are able to help with --I dont know yet !!!!

but at least i dont feel so lazy now always needing to lie down as there is a reason!!!

Yesterday was halloween , my husb locked the gate before dusk to avoid the lil darlings which sadly are not lil darlings round this way!!!!! more lil horrors my sil in kent turned all the lights off and they sat in the dark as they pelt eggs paint and God knows what at their house,,, he is in a very classy area too!!!! I used to love going round with Anne Marie when she was young dressing up it was such fun and everyone seemed so kind and happy.

Lunch at Cockington!!!

Well I was totally sick of working on the puter re ebay, so when my

husband asked if I wanted to go out as it was such a beautiful day I forgot I get agoraphobia, and went immediately.We went to a place near us the Drum inn its such a pretty place full of thatch cottages and quaint ,with horses and carts, Well unfortunately didnt get pics of most of

the village as we were directed another way out ,,,so hope fully go back and take some another time ,

My lunch was ginormous!!!! re pic !!!!actually wasnt frightfully nice but piggie ate it all lol it was a mushroom lasagne ???? weird I adore lasagne so I guess it was just a disappointment!!! but so nice to get out ,,for a break !!!

grrrrrrr who would marry a dentist!

Well !!!!! this morning my crown came out,as im married to a dentist one would think no probs!!! He decided to scale them ,, : ( it hurt ive got friends that have injections for scaling!!! )I was being treated lieing on the bed my fav place of course,!!! Desdemona and Rosalind were dental nurses ,, anyway im hopefully to have a maryland bridge, (they dont work very well) but im refusing to have a lower plate,,,the dear dentist is--at present explaining graphically to me how sad it is to get
so old and have such gum recession and how the years pass by etc etc=== when i worked for him he didnt go into all that with the women(anything but!!!) I imagine this is coz im a non paying one lol---- so another inferiority complex today,, and a lisping one at that == AND NOOO NO PIC :( LOL !!!

TERRIBLE FIRE AT MORETON WHERE MY DAUGHTER LIVES
There was a terrible fire at Moretonhampstead next door to where my daughter lives.I had a phone call about 2-30am she said they were being evacuated immediatelyfrom the house. The fireman banged on the door and told them to leave everything and get out. The cellar was filled with smoke and the attic terribly hot. The smoke was terrible that woke my daughter up coughing and lil SamSam being nearly sick and ckoking in his sleep. It was too smoky to grab cat baskets so they found one basket and Sammy held Izzy all the way to me, and dear Dexter had the one basket.Anne-maries motherinlaw was staying there too for the week, she and Sammy were nearest the fire, The drainpipes caught alight and the upstairs kitchen windows werecracked with the heat, Marie said it was so intense ,, she was amazing coming overand keeping everyone calm, I think she will pay for it re her health though, as she made such an effort to get to me. We didnt actually go to bed that night but I quickly got downstairs ready for m i l and the 2 pussies were in Anne-Maries bedroom, dear Sammy was amazing he coped so well but was in deep shock,i felt so sorry for them i was ok until about 2 hours later and shock hit me realising what could have happened!!! thats typical of me though. I just thank God they all escaped and the cats including the outside cats.!!!!! The next door thatched house was completely gutted and the adjoining houses the other way were involved too..i think 8 fire engines plus tenders and other stuff attendedI will post pics later,xxxx

SIL was very sweet last week trying to mend puter for me , it turned out to be id changed password and not on router --wotever
lol .
isnt Sindies quilt gorgeous she is so talented!!!!,
Rosalind went to vet today , she has to go again next week ,they are hoping their scales wrong but shes not put weight on and at first she said she had lost masses --- just when id plucked up courage to go too !!!!

INTRODUCING ROSALIND!!!

Well here is Rosalind, at the moment she is being very good , but she never stops yowing when shes awake!!!! Desdemona so far has been incredibly sweet to her.

We went here for a lil while yesterday afternoon,its really

beautiful and the weather was gorgeous.

The idea was to try and buy or hire a beach hut, but lol they had been pulled down,!!!!

Would have been very pretty there, will try Meadfoot beach but not sure if any are vacant.

I didnt post pic of me as my husb said he thought i ought to see a doc as im fat!!!

so have inferiority complex at moment --well worse than usual!!!

Desdemona was getting better re dear othello, but shes

looking for him over the top of the balcony, I think hopefully

the kitten might be good for her to look after,but looking

at jaynes vid of her kittens not so sure lol NAUTIE!!! there

again 2 of them so i imagine one will be nervous,maybe not

create havoc,

Ive been ill couple days had to stay in bed, wondered if
